Groepbeheer BV
In august 2002 I started as finance
director for Keuken Groepbeheer BV which is a company with 13 outlets and one
production location for producing kitchens for the Dutch market. Total staff 400
and a turnover of € 34 million. Due to the bad financial situation
of the company the shareholders asked me to become the general manager a.i. for
a period of 2 years to turn around the company. The turn around is finished and
the company is now on the right track. As general manager I was responsible
for the turn around of this company. The turn around was focused on cost
reduction and cost control. There
was a reduction of 150 fte’s and I did the negotiations with the unions. I
achieved a strong reduction of the
level of services cost and improvement of the quality of the product and
services. To achieve these goals there was a
implementation of a new sales system a new cost accounting system and the new
logistic system in the production facility. Implemented financial reporting, stategic planning
and central budgetting for all the stores and the production unit. Due to a lack
of internal procedures a new internal control structure inline with SOX was
implemented. I achieved the turnarround and
improved the result of the company by more then 80%. The company was sold during
2005. I
prepared the bid book and took part of the selling
process.
Cementbouw Detailhandel
BV
November 1999 up to august 2002 was
I group controller (finance
director) for Cementbouw Detailhandel BV. This company is part of Amstelland NV which was listed on the
Dutch stock exchange. Cementbouw Detailhandel operates as
a franchise business, franchising Gamma and karwei from the franchise owner Intergamma. At
the end of 2000 Cementbouw Detailhandel owned 53 franchised stores with a total
revenue of nlg 520 million and 2300 employees As group controller I am responsible for all the financial
reporting, legal and fiscal aspects. I am also responsible for the ICT
related issues within the division. Currently 6 persons are reporting
directly to me and 24 indirectly. I report to the general manager of the division
and with a dotted line to the CFO of Amstelland. Under my supervision the following
facts have been implemented: ·
Implementation of new accounting
system and financial software. ·
Professionalisation of the
accounting staff and integrity and
security issues in the stores (there was a lot of cash money
involved) ·

I was the financial director for
Mericolor SA de CV (Ceteco) in Merida, Mexico. The financial director and the
general manager where responsible
for the total operation of the company in Mexico. Ceteco Mexico was a retail
organisation with 40 stores and revenue of nlg 120
million. I was responsible for all the
financial (US GAAP), legal, treasury and fiscal aspects related to the business
in Mexico. I reported every month the results to headquarters in Holland.
In addition I was also responsible
for the project ICT for latin amerika. 8 persons reported directly to me
and 70 persons indirectly The following have been implemented
under my supervision: ·

BV
I was a controller in a
manufacturing company Euroma Holding BV. Euroma Holding BV was part of Burns Philp and Co, an
Australian company which was the worldwide market leader in herbs and spices.
Euroma Holding BV is producing herbs and spices for the industrial market in
Europe. Since May 1995 I was the financial director responsible for the
Dutch and UK activities in the manufacturing plants. I was involved in contract
management and project management for europe. The costing and cost price for
these contracts where complicated, due to the fact that these contracts had a
big influence on the profitability of the company. The total revenue was nlg 70 million
and 180 employees worked in these two manufacturing
plants. 3 persons reported directly to me,
and 20 persons indirectly. The following have been implemented
under my supervision : ·
