Responsible for user services. Sympac is a subsidiary company of KPN and sells mobile telephony and hardware (devices and accessories) to multinationals.

 

 

Project Manager – KPN Mobile

Overall project manager (result, planning and budget responsible (about €1mln in total)) of following UMTS data-projects:

  • Mobile TV Client: an application for the devices to watch television and video via 3G and DVB-H
  • Plug & Play: settings to optimize mobile data traffic (MMS, WAP, streaming) are sent to all new and existing KPN mobile devices
  • Internet Video telephony: An user can make video calls via a web-client. Direction 3G mobile phone to PC (incl. webcam)
  • Internet Everywhere Plus: an improved internet security + delivery of fixed IP addressed to mobile data users.
  • Hi Xperiment: introduction of an environmental area on the Hi site in order to test and optimize new services.
  • Surftool: a surfbox on the mobile portals that compromises internet sites to readable sites for mobile devices.
  • (Program manager) Mobile advertising: Creation of advertisement space within voicemail messages, wrong number messages, saldo information and sms-notifications and portal bannering for advertisers.

Responsible for writing a pilot plan for digital telephony (voice over IP).

Responsible for development and implementation of marketing actions of among others the value added services (pin and online remote back-up) for the business market. For every action different distribution channels are used. Writing of a plan for personalising  a business newsletter and for testing of a new detection camera service.

Responsible for ‘landing’ of all system changes, mostly with process and procedural adjustments, in the line organisation Delta. Delta delivers gas, energy, water and cable in Zeeland. Energy and gas is delivered throughout the Netherlands. Also partly responsible for improvement of delivery processes like contract–to-cash and contract mutations (channel management).

Responsible for all marketing communications within the “profit” business unit of Raet (produces over 2 mln salary slips of employees a month in the Netherlands and produces & implements personnel information systems). Raet used to work in the non-profit market and gained the largest market share in the Netherlands. Since a few years Raet also works in the profit market; Define policy, initiate changes mainly within the sales department and also operating tasks. Budget responsible and management function.

Responsible for describing the Credit & Collections and Accounts Receivable processes and procedures for the European head office of ACN Telecom. Also a supportive role at the implementation and communication of these processes and procedures (e.g. workshops).

Interim Manager Credit & Collections - UPC Nederland

Responsible for defining and establishing the Credit & Collections department (30 people). I have defined the policy (pro-active and reactive), the goals, the tasks of the department, the reports and the execution of the projects. I was also responsible for defining the SLA’s with the Customer Care and Field Services departments within UPC and negotiating of contracts with collection agencies. Besides line management I was working on the implementation of a new Customer Care & Billing system and a project to handle non-paying customers.

Responsible for introducing a pro-active system to support the Product Development department with Customer Care & Billing implementation of their products and services. Also responsible to describe the departmental processes and train the employees.

The project aims to finalise an ‘Configuration Management’ analysis for KPN Telecom and Lucent Technologies. The study, executed together with a colleague, focused at the inefficiency within the business processes, the organisation and the systems used. Based upon the conclusions and suggestions both organisations implemented the necessary changes.
